The National Library BoardSingapore was established in 1995 in order to coordinate and network activities of libraries in Singapore, it maintains the NationalLibrary and regional libraries. Furthermore, the NLB works towards a one-stop-shop for library and information services in Singapore and the South East Asian region. While it also promotes lifelong learning, it runs various reading campaigns tageted at children and young learners.

National Book Development Council of Singapore (NBDCS)

The National Book Development Council of Singapore (NBDCS) is a non-profit umbrella body inaugurated in 1969 to promote storytelling, reading, writing and publishing. The Council brings the book industry and literary community together through social events, courses, seminars, conferences and author lectures. The Council`s current objective is to establish and develop Singapore as the Asian centre for publishing and the literary arts.

BookCross@SG (BCSG) is a book exchange cycle where books will be left in public places (hotspots) for a person to find and/or pick, and upon completion of reading, release the book at any hotspot for the next potential reader to catch it.
